The Shoal Point structure (covered by Exploration Licence 1070) is offshore (although it can be drilled from onshore) and has a 2D seismic survey and a limited 3D seismic survey. One well has already been drilled and a second well (2K-39) has recently been completed.
A lead named Lourdes was identified in the northern part of EL 1070, extending into the neighbouring block EL 1069, by Mobil Oil in 1980. The lead was partially covered by several poor quality seismic lines which indicate a possible trap in an extensional fault block. PDIP have no immediate plans with regard to this lead.
