PDIP intend to increase the geo-scientific understanding of GHN and GHC by undertaking additional geophysical work. This will be done with a view to identifying an onshore drilling target, whilst also providing geological knowledge of the entire Port au Port Peninsula (and, therefore, aiding the efficient exploitation of other structures).

This initiative began with the filing of a geophysical program in August 2006, and the cutting of lines late in 2007 for a 2D seismic survey. PDIP are currently planning the drilling and acquisition phases of the seismic project.
