Enegi Oil Plc is an independent oil and gas group. Current operations are focused on four prospects around the Port au Port peninsula in western Newfoundland, which, although lightly explored, is in an active petroleum system with light oil having been discovered on a number of occasions.
Our mission is to drive value through the identification and acquisition of oil and gas assets that can be rapidly developed into production. Our vision is to become the leading junior oil and gas company in Atlantic Canada.
Our approach is to develop our assets profitably while recognising that we have a role to play in the development of the communities in which we work and the protection of the environment in the regions where we operate.
Enegi Oil Plc was incorporated in the United Kingdom in September 2007. PDI Production Inc., the group's principal operating subsidiary, was incorporated in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada in May 2006. The group’s working interests are held through an onshore petroleum lease, PL 2002-01, and an offshore exploration license, EL 1070.
During 2008, two wells will be drilled on our properties. Our working interest partner on EL 1070, Shoal Point Energy, is drilling an exploration well at Shoal Point commencing early March. When Shoal Point Energy has completed the exploration well, we will be using the same rig to drill a horizontal well at Garden Hill South, a proven discovery. We have also commenced a 2-D seismic program on Garden Hill Central and Garden Hill North.
